Riot Games revealed format changes to EMEA Masters 2024. The EMEA Masters 2024 Spring Split is scheduled to take place from April 15th to April 28th. Riot has announced adjustments to accommodate the limited two-week window in the competitive calendar. Although the number of parallel matches will increase, the overall match count will remain unchanged. The tournament will feature 28 teams, beginning with a 16-team play-ins stage divided into four groups of four, playing in a best-of-one, double round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockouts stage, where matches will be played in a best-of-three format.
In the 2024 Summer Split, the tournament structure has been revised to encompass three stages: Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ), Group Stage, and Playoffs. A total of 38 teams will participate in the season. The LCQ will serve as the initial stage for 24 teams to vie for entry into the Group Stage, with one to three teams representing each region competing for qualification.
