"Munchkin" Joins T1

T1 has officially added Byeon “Munchkin” Sang beom to its VALORANT roster for the upcoming VCT 2026 season. The former Gen.G Esports player returns to the team to fill the spot left by Kang “DH” Dong ho, who will now compete on the T1 Academy lineup.
In its announcement, the organisation wrote, “ ‘Munchkin’ will be joining the T1 VALORANT team for 2026. Please join us in welcoming ‘Munchkin’, who will soar to even greater heights together with T1 VALORANT.”
This move marks a reunion between Munchkin and T1 Esports. He previously played for the team during the 2023 season, taking part in events such as the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational, Masters Tokyo and VALORANT Champions in Los Angeles. T1 highlighted several of his standout plays in a two minute announcement video shared on YouTube.
Alongside the signing, T1 confirmed that DH has been reassigned to the academy roster. The decision has sparked mixed reactions from fans on social media.
