The Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) is set to make a return to the Copper Box Arena in London, United Kingdom, for RLCS Major 2, scheduled to take place between June 20-23. The event prize pool will be $255k, attracting top-tier talent from around the world. Qualifiers for the event are already underway, offering players the opportunity to compete for both prize money and RLCS Points, crucial for their standings in the RLCS scene. According to the press release by Psyonix tickets are set to go on sale starting Friday, March 29.
As the first Major of 2024 kicks off this week on March 28th in Copenhagen, the confirmation of the second Major in London confirmed the expectations within the Rocket League community. However, the venue for the highly anticipated Rocket League World Championship, scheduled for September, remains undisclosed, leaving fans speculating about potential locations. With both Majors taking place in Europe, speculation arises that the World Championship might venture to North America.
Rocket League esports had a substantial increase in seasonal total prize pool of $3.4 million. This growth is further propelled by recent developments, such as the partnership between Psyonix and BLAST for the production of the Rocket League esports circuit. BLAST recently partnered with many esports titles and most recently with Ubisoft.
