Noyan "Genburten" Ozkose Josue "Phony" Ruiz Evan "Verhulst" Verhulst – the 2023 ALGS world champion

100 Thieves earned their spot in the championship by consistently performing among the top teams in both splits of the Americas Pro League during Year 5. This qualification secured their invitation to the global showdown. On the other side, Crazy Raccoon faced challenges in Year 5. The organization parted ways with its Apex Legends roster in August 2025 following player Han "SangJoon" Sang-joon's retirement. Their previous performances included a 27th-place finish at the Year 4 Championship, a 105th placement in the 2025 Open, and a 32nd overall in the Midseason Playoffs. Without a qualifying roster, the partnership with 100 Thieves provides Crazy Raccoon a strong presence at their home-country event.

ALGS Year 5 Championship Format and Schedule

The tournament kicks off with the Group Stage on January 15-16, where the 40 qualified teams are divided into four groups of 10. Each group plays a single six-match series against the others in their group, with performances determining seedings for the next phase. This leads into the Bracket Stage on January 17, a double-elimination format that narrows the field. The top 20 teams then advance to the Match Point Finals on January 18, where they'll compete in a match point series for the championship crown. All 40 teams have been confirmed, featuring past champions, regional Pro League winners, and standout performers from major events throughout Year 5 – a season marked by significant format updates to heighten competition.
