The ALGS Open will take place in New Orleans, LA, from May 1-4, featuring a massive 160 Apex teams in the first-ever open-format tournament hosted by the ALGS. The event will be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and marks the first major LAN tournament of the year for ALGS.
With a $1 million prize pool, the tournament will showcase top teams fans are familiar with from major ALGS events, including defending champions GoNext, Team Falcons, 100 Thieves, Alliance, Shopify Rebellion, Fnatic, and many more. These big-name teams will face off against squads that earned their spots through regional qualifiers, increasing the number of participants beyond the usual roster of teams at ALGS LAN events.

Fans can also expect exciting changes in Year 5 of the ALGS, including the introduction of Broken Moon to the map pool. After seeing only World’s Edge and Storm Point in previous ALGS tournaments, this marks the second new map in the calendar year, following the debut of E-District at the ALGS Championship. Additionally, the new ALGS legend ban system will be in full effect, ensuring fresh gameplay throughout the competition.
The final roster of teams is still to be determined, as Pro League qualifiers will finalize the list this month. Tickets for the event will go on sale starting March 18.
