Al Nassr has announced a partnership with the Italian esports organization Mkers, marking the club's official entry into esports competitions with EA FC 24. As part of the collaboration, Al Nassr has signed João Afonso ‘Jafonso’ Vasconcelos, one of the top EA FC players globally, who is the current Esports World Cup champion and a former eMLS winner.
Mkers will provide technical and competitive management, along with expertise in commercial strategy and marketing to help grow Al Nassr’s esports presence. This move is part of the club's broader strategy of acquiring high-profile names, following their headline-grabbing signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2023.
