Anichess Partners with Team Secret

Anichess, a collaborative venture between Animoca and Chess.com, has forged a partnership with global esports entity Team Secret. According to release John Yao, CEO of Team Secret, will join Anichess as an advisor, contributing insights as the esports organization collaborates with Anichess to enhance its PvP mode before its anticipated launch.
Anichess, incorporating Web3 features, blends traditional chess with innovative mechanics and abilities, aiming to attract both chess enthusiasts and gaming communities. While the single-player mode debuted in early 2024, the competitive multiplayer mode is slated for release soon.

The release states that the collaboration with Team Secret intends to position Anichess as the premier destination for competitive chess.
John Yao, CEO of Team Secret, stated “Anichess is a promising twist on chess, with even more of what makes the original great: compelling tactics, broad recognition and rewards for players willing to think outside the box and surprise opponents. I’m looking forward to guiding Anichess into the realm of esports and integrating the new chess platform into our dedicated community.”
