The Esports World Cup, currently underway in Saudi Arabia and organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, has secured a partnership with CCTV+, a subsidiary of China Central Television (CCTV). Through this partnership EWC matches will be broadcast on various CCTV+ channels across China, enhancing accessibility for Chinese viewers throughout July and August 2024.
CCTV+ is available over 70 countries. The collaboration with the Esports World Cup Foundation will deliver EWC content to CCTV+ users, thereby broadening the event's reach in China.
This partnership was made possible through another recent agreement involving the Esports World Cup Foundation, VSPO, and the China Media Group.
Notably, the China Media Group has established the National Esports Development Institute, serving as a pivotal platform to facilitate the integration of EWC content into CCTV+. The Institute aims to foster sustainable growth in esports, aligning with EWC's vision for the future of competitive gaming.
