ESB, and the Qatar Esports Federation have forged a three-year partnership for 3 Dota 2 tournaments annually. The tournaments will have a prize pool of $2.6 million, with 10 participating teams in each competition.
The event dates are,
ESB CEO Gonzalo Velasco stated “There is a big space in the Dota 2 and esports scene for innovation and doing great things for the community, not only at the top level of competitive esports, but also at a regional and amateur level. The Qatar experience of hosting worldwide top sports events like the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the Asian Football Cup in 2023, and many others, added to its ideal location as a transit hub and amazing infrastructure, places the country as an ideal candidate for setting up our global hub.”
