Google vs Epic Games trial begins today. The upcoming trial will center around Google's treatment of third-party mobile developers who utilize its Android mobile Play Store. Developers have leveled accusations against both Apple and Google, alleging an unjust share of revenue from in-app transactions and difficulties in communicating with their customer base. The conflict initiated in 2020 when Epic Games implemented a hotfix in Fortnite, which guided players to directly purchase virtual currency, V-Bucks, bypassing Google's 30% share of all in-game transactions.
