Esports World Cup Partners with TikTok

TikTok has teamed up with the Esports World Cup Foundation, organizers of the Esports World Cup, to become its official entertainment platform. This partnership will feature a dedicated EWC hub on TikTok, providing comprehensive coverage of the event.
The inaugural Esports World Cup was announced by Saudi Arabia in October 2023, succeeding the Gamers8 festival organized by the Saudi Esports Federation. The event is announced as a component of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aimed at diversifying the economy and reducing dependence on oil.

The Esports World Cup will feature a total prize pool of $60m across various games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 SiegeApex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds, PUBG Mobile, ESL R1, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics, TEKKEN 8, and Apex Legends.
Mohamed Harb, Head of Partnerships at TikTok MENA, stated “Promoting a shared appreciation for e-sports, connecting fans and players across different cultures and regions is at the top of TikTok priorities. By leveraging our innovative capabilities, content creators can bring fresh and exciting perspectives to the esports community.”
