Esports World Cup, organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, has introduced two new games: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty Warzone. With these additions, the tournament now includes a total of 21 games. The Warzone competition boasts a $1m, while the MW3 tournament offers $1.8m.
Scheduled to kick off in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the event replaces Gamers8 as the country’s esports festival, featuring a total prize pool exceeding $60m. Lasting nearly two months, the tournament will host 21 teams for Warzone and 16 for MW3. Results from these games contribute points to the Esports World Cup Club Championship, which offers an additional $20m prize pool alongside each game’s individual pool.
Both tournaments have extended the deadline for clubs to sign up new participants until 23:59 AST on Thursday. The event will feature Counter-Strike 2, EA Sports FC 24, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile, Rocket League, Tekken 8, and Rennsport.
