Voodoo Acquires BeReal

Voodoo has announced the acquisition of BeReal for €500m. BeReal, established in 2019, notifies users to share photos of their activities within a two-minute window, which vanish after 24 hours. Voodoo plans to assist BeReal in product strategy, user growth, and infrastructure, while investing in new features. Wizz CEO Aymeric Roffé will replace BeReal's current CEO and founder Alexis Barreyat. Barreyat will stay involved temporarily and aid in the integration of the two companies.
According to release Voodoo announced that the acquisition will enable BeReal to develop and introduce new features and concentrate on expanding through both organic and paid marketing across various markets.

Barreyat stated. “Their resources and expertise will help bring BeReal on a sustainable growth path while continuing to deliver on its mission to create an authentic world that keeps you connected with the people you really care about.”
