Esports World Cup Foundation has announced new partnerships with Aramco, HONOR, and Unilever. Aramco will sponsor the sim racing segment, known as Aramco SIM Arena, featuring simulators for visitors and community tournaments. HONOR will provide its HONOR 200 Pro smartphones for players in mobile tournaments like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Free Fire, and Honor of Kings. Unilever will promote its CLEAR MEN shampoo and AXE Body Spray at the Esports World Cup, aiming to engage with gamers in Saudi Arabia.

The inaugural Esports World Cup was announced by Saudi Arabia in October 2023, succeeding the Gamers8 festival organized by the Saudi Esports Federation. The event is announced as a component of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 initiative, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aimed at diversifying the economy and reducing dependence on oil.

The Esports World Cup will feature a total prize pool of $60m across various games including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Warzone, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 SiegeApex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds, PUBG Mobile, ESL R1, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics, TEKKEN 8, and Apex Legends.
