Football Manager, originally known as Championship Manager from its inception in 1992, is a series of football management simulation video games developed by British studio Sports Interactive and published by Sega. Following a split with original publishers Eidos Interactive due to issues surrounding the release of CM4 in 2003, Sports Interactive retained the game engine and data but lost the naming rights. Subsequently, they rebranded the game as Football Manager under their new publisher Sega. The latest installment in the series, Football Manager 2024, was launched on November 6, 2023.
