North American esports organization FlyQuest has teamed up with AI and blockchain company Theta Labs to introduce an AI-powered esports chatbot named a.PHiD.
Using Theta EdgeCloud technology, the chatbot will provide fans with detailed information on topics such as rosters, upcoming matches, results, and statistics. Fans can access a.PHiD through FlyQuest’s website and Discord channel. FlyQuest, known for its achievements in League of Legends, was acquired by the Viola family office—owners of the NHL’s Florida Panthers—in 2022. The organization claimed the final LCS championship title before the league’s restructuring into a new Americas competition.
The collaboration with Theta Labs centers on leveraging Theta EdgeCloud technology to enhance fan interaction. a.PHiD will allow fans to engage in conversations about FlyQuest-related topics, including match results, rosters, merchandise, off-season updates, and match recaps. The chatbot aims to make it easier for fans to find the information they’re seeking.
In addition to FlyQuest-specific details, a.PHiD will have a broad understanding of League of Legends, esports, and gaming, enabling it to address general inquiries. With access to the Riot Games League of Legends API, the bot can also deliver real-time updates on ongoing FlyQuest matches.
Brian Anderson, CEO of FlyQuest, expressed his excitement about the initiative: "This collaboration will revolutionise the fan experience on our website and in our Discord server, allowing us to offer unprecedented levels of fan engagement never before seen in League of Legends."
