Quite a big game, not the biggest but 210GB is still a third of PS storage.

The number is from PlayStation Game Size, an account that scrapes the PlayStation Store database, posted on 27 October. Rockstar still did not published a storage requirement.

The pricing is also in the news, the standard edition at 79.99 dollars, preloading from 12 November, release 19 November at midnight local time. Physical copies ship as download codes rather than discs, so buying the boxed version doesn’t spare you the download.

Context for the number

Roughly double Red Dead Redemption 2, which is expected

The record is still held by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War pushed close to 220GB with every mode installed. But that was a game accumulating modes over time, and this is a day-one install.

PS5 Pro owners have 2TB storage so no issues theere. Anyone on a older console is clearing space for sure.

One small note, CyberLeek, the group behind the September leaks, claimed the build they had access to exceeded 200GB. That’s held up.

The caveats

Of course this is the current build, day-one patches exist, and installers need temporary working space beyond the final install size, so 210GB free is not a safe assumption.

The practical advice is the obvious kind. Check your remaining storage and your data allowance before 12 November, because a week of lead time stops being generous if you’re on a capped connection.
