Gfinity Digital Media has recently undergone significant staff reductions, according to reports. On July 12, Lewis White, editor-in-chief of Gfinity and Stealth Optional, confirmed via social media that his entire team was being let go. The exact number of employees affected across the company, which owns eight gaming media websites including Gfinity Esports and Stealth Optional, remains unclear.
Various members of the Gfinity Esports team, including White, have shared news of their redundancy. Nico Parungo, a news writer, attributed the cuts to "restructuring and budgetary reasons," while guides editor Rory Norris disclosed that his contract will conclude by the end of the month. Aimee Hart, an evergreen editor, was also among those laid off.
