Midnight Society Cuts Ties with Dr Disrespect

Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm's gaming company,Midnight Society, a game studio established in 2021 known for its focus on online shooters, is cutting ties with Dr Disrespect. Recently, allegations surfaced suggesting that Beahm was banned from Twitch in 2020 for allegedly engaging in inappropriate communication with a minor and attempting to arrange a meeting at TwitchCon using the platform's messaging system.

These accusations were brought to light by a former Twitch employee. Dr Disrespect denied any wrongdoing, stating that investigations into the matter found no illegal activity and he was cleared of any accusations, indicating he was compensated for the ordeal.

In response to these developments, Midnight Society announced its decision to sever ties with Beahm. The studio's leadership became aware of the allegations on June 21, following Conners' tweets, prompting an internal investigation into the situation.

Midnight Society stated “In order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to act, For this reason, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately. While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players.”

Dr Disrespect Takes a Break

Following these accusations, Dr Disrespect has announced he's taking an indefinite break from streaming. At the conclusion of his latest stream, he shared with his audience that he feels "burned out" by the pressures of social media and streaming. He expressed a desire to step away from being in front of the camera and suggested exploring other fields.
