Offbrand, known for connecting brands with creators through content, has launched Offbrand Games, its game publishing division. Content creator Ludwig Ahgren revealed the partnership with Jason "Thor" Hall, founder of Pirate Software, during IGN Live. The first title from Offbrand Games is the sequel to Aether Studio's Rivals of Aether, a fighting platformer initially released in 2017.
The company stated that this move into game publishing aims to address issues indie studios face with traditional publishers. Ahgren stated "The dream is for developers to focus on making the best game possible with all the time and resources, then I can hopefully show as many people as possible what the cool game they made is and have people play it."
