After Perseverance Gaming's unexpected disqualification from ESL Challenger League Season 48 and the imposition of a two-month ban on most of their lineup, the Canadian organization has announced the immediate release of the team due to a severe breach of competitive integrity.
ESL disclosed that the disqualification resulted from Perseverance’s attempt to reschedule matches under false pretenses and falsify evidence to support this request.
These penalties have effectively locked the team out of the North American scene for an extended period, severely damaging their career prospects. Along with being disqualified from ECL, the two-month ban means that Perseverance's roster will also be prohibited from participating in qualifiers for IEM Rio, ESL Challenger Atlanta, and ESL Challenger Katowice.
