Cambridge Sleep Sciences (CSS) has partnered with Achieveminds, Ultrahuman, and Tech Co to launch the Tech Co Performance Pillow, a product designed to help athletes and gamers optimize recovery through better sleep.
The pillow incorporates CSS’s SleepEngine™, a tool that delivers audio-based sleep support, and is compatible with the Ultrahuman Rin AIR smart ring, which tracks sleep markers and adapts the pillow’s sleep program accordingly. The collaboration combines expertise from the esports, health, and technology sectors, aiming to improve sleep quality for those who push their bodies and minds to the limit.
The Tech Co Performance Pillow was revealed at the Dubai Esports Arena, alongside new trial data from CSS. In trials using the pillow, participants wearing the Ultrahuman Ring AIR recorded a 28% increase in REM sleep and a 31% reduction in awake time. These results highlight the potential for improved recovery and performance among esports players and athletes.
“We believe that players don’t just win in the arena; they win in recovery,” said Fabian Broich, founder of Achieveminds, a performance-first consultancy and esports organization. “With the Performance Pillow, we’re turning sleep into a trainable edge.”
The Performance Pillow is designed to offer tailored sleep solutions for those with demanding schedules, such as esports players facing intense training blocks, scrims, and tournaments. Shakeel Baig, Founder and CEO of Tech Co, emphasized the pillow’s ability to adapt to the specific needs of users: “By combining CSS’s proven SleepEngine™ with insights from Ultrahuman Ring AIR, we can deliver smarter rest that adapts to the demands of esports scrims, tournaments, and intensive training blocks.”
