How the Challenger Series Works
Ubisoft structured the event in three clear stages.
Phase 1: Open Qualifiers for Everyone
This part is wide open. Teams register and dive into single-elimination matches. Everything runs best-of-one style. After four events, the top performers move on.
Qualifiers happen on these dates:
Open #1 - February 21 Register EML / Register NAL / Register SAL / Register APL North / Register Oceania / Register Asia Open #2 - February 22 Register EML / Register NAL / Register SAL / Register APL North / Register Oceania / Register Asia Open #3 - February 28 Register EML / Register NAL / Register SAL / Register APL North / Register Oceania / Register Asia Open #4 - March 1 Register EML / Register NAL / Register SAL / Register APL North / Register Oceania / Register Asia
Phase 2: Swiss System Showdown
Sixteen teams enter this round, including some seeded directly from strong 2025 finishes. They face off in a Swiss format from March 3-8. Matches pair squads with matching win-loss records. The best eight push to the endgame.
Phase 3: High-Stakes Finals
March 12-15 Eight teams fight in single-elimination brackets. The top two squads snag automatic invites to both halves of their 2026 regional leagues.
This is the second year for the Challenger Series. Back in February 2025, Ubisoft revamped it. They combined regions to sync with the elite division. Now it feeds straight into the main circuits.
The full 2026 season looks stacked. Ubisoft revealed the roadmap last December. It starts with the Season Kick-Off in April. Expect fierce rivalries and massive prize pools as pros and risers clash.
