Year 11 Season3 is here and we are getting a new defender.

Ahmed "Noor" Murad is a 28-year-old Egyptian Defender, 2-speed 2-armour, whose father Gamal also served in Rainbow.

His Horus Lance Launcher fires five incendiary projectiles, two before a reload. They stick to shields, soft and reinforced walls, hatches, floors, deployable shields, Castle's armour panels and Azami's Kiba barriers.

Against a shield, the projectile penetrates it and ignites, spraying flames directly at the attacker. Stay put and you die in seconds. Move the shield aside to pull the lance out and you're exposed. That's the whole design to force a shield operator to choose between burning and dropping their guard. So it is basically against the shield meta.

On penetrable surfaces, flames jet from both sides. Hit a non-penetrable frame like a door or window and it only burns one way. Each lance denies an area for roughly ten seconds, and the projectiles work through floors, ceilings and adjacent rooms, so Noor can apply pressure without line of sight. Pro tip below objectives.

He hard-counters Ram, and his lance takes priority over Lesion mines. Pulse pairs well, since Cardiac Sensor tells Noor where to shoot through a wall.

Loadout: Commando-9 or Alda 5.56 primary, 1911 TACOPS or Bailiff 410 secondary, Deployable Shield or Barbed Wire.

Villa, and a new approach to maps

Ubisoft will introduce Targeted Map Updates, smaller adjustments to specific areas rather than waiting for full reworks. Villa goes first.

The underused Living Room/Library bomb site moves down to a rebuilt basement, with new bomb locations, rotations, hatches and cover. The garage becomes an interior space, which changes attacks on the eastern side of the map entirely. Breachable walls and hatches have moved, and surrounding areas were adjusted for flow and drones.

The rework opens a hatch trick where you can plant and rappel up through the hatch, seems interesting.

Stadium Alpha, Stadium Bravo, House, the Shooting Range and Tutorials all get visual and destructibility updates under the modernized maps updates.

Two limited-time modes

3v3 Arcade, 8 to 22 September. A faster Bomb variant, first to four rounds with a maximum of seven including one overtime, 30-second prep phase, no Operator bans. The hook is attrition: win a round with a set of Operators and you can't pick them again that match.

Wasteland Circuit, 23 September to 13 October. Siege's first drone racing event.

Doktor's Curse also returns.

Legend Division

A new rank sitting above the existing structure, described as a dedicated SoloQ environment for the highest-ranked players, arriving alongside Ranked 3.0 adjustments.

Balancing

  • Kali: scopes cut to 3.5x and 8x from 5x and 12x, faster CSRX 300 cadence, more total ammo, and LV Explosive Lance no longer interrupts ADS or impact leaning
  • Dokkaebi: EMP Grenades swapped for Breach Charges, Jegeo Payload now interruptible by Mute Jammers, tablet must stay active during upload
  • Lion: EE-ONE-D scan warning time reduced
  • Echo: Yokai sonic burst recharges faster
  • Kapkan: Entry Denial Device damage increased

The AR-15.50, MK 14 EBR and SMG-12 all get damage, recoil and ammo capacity adjustments.

These are some of the updates coming soon.
