Sporty Group Acquires Sociable Soccer

Sporty Group, the parent company of SportyBet, has announced the acquisition of Sociable Soccer from Jon Hare, the creator of Sensible Soccer series from the 1990s, which was sponsored by FIFPRO. The financial details of the deal were not revealed.
Sensible Soccer was extremely famous during the Commodore era. Sensible Soccer, often referred to as Sensi, is a series of association football video games that gained popularity in the early 1990s and continues to have a dedicated following. Developed by Sensible Software, the series debuted in 1992 initially for Amiga and Atari ST computers, later expanding to IBM PC compatibles. Co-created by Jon Hare and Chris Yates, Sensible Soccer is known for its fast-paced and action-packed gameplay, cementing its place as a classic in the world of football video gaming.

Sociable Soccer serves as its modern-day successor, offering similar action-oriented gameplay across PC, Mac, and mobile platforms, with releases for Xbox and PlayStation slated for later this year.
Sporty Group operates several key entities in the betting and gaming sector, including the prominent brand SportyBet, the sports-focused app Sporty.com, and SportyTV, which provides live broadcasts of premium sports events in Nigeria and Ghana.
