Starform, the developer behind Metalstorm, has secured $6 million in a funding round led by Bitkraft Ventures, with additional support from Dune Ventures. The funds will be used to accelerate the development of the company’s 5v5 air-combat arena shooter and expand its team based in Seattle.
To support this growth, Starform has recently brought on several senior executives, including Stefan Ramirez as COO (formerly operations manager at King Studios), Chris Hager as director of production (previously at Riot Games), Jeremy Friesen as principal engineer (formerly at The Pokémon Company), and Jesse Roberts to head social media marketing (former senior manager of digital marketing and community at Evil Geniuses).
Metalstorm launched on the Epic Games Store and mobile platforms in November 2023 and has already reached 3 million players.
