TikTok Ban Removes Games from US Market

Marvel Snap and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang were temporarily removed from availability in the United States over the weekend due to the TikTok ban.
Second Dinner, the developer of Marvel Snap, expressed surprise on social media, explaining that both they and their publisher Nuverse, a subsidiary of TikTok's parent company ByteDance, were caught off guard by the impact of the ban. "Unfortunately, Marvel Snap is temporarily unavailable in US app stores and is unavailable to play in the US," the developer stated. "Marvel Snap isn't going anywhere. We're actively working on getting the game up as soon as possible."

The studio later provided an update, reassuring players that they "hope to have Marvel Snap back online within 24 hours" and confirmed that "global players should be able to continue to play with no issues." Second Dinner also emphasized its commitment to compensating players for any missed time-based content, rewards, and missions.
Meanwhile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, developed by ByteDance subsidiary Moonton, has also been reported as unavailable in the US, according to Pocket Gamer.
The disruption follows a decision by the US Supreme Court to ban TikTok in the US on January 18, citing security concerns.
