OpTic is gearing up to release the highly anticipated documentary The Process, which will cover the rise of OpTic Texas in this year's Call of Duty League (CDL) and Esports World Cup tournaments. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this release, and after months of anticipation, it's finally almost here.
The documentary has been a long time coming, especially considering OpTic Texas' incredible journey. It has been more than four months since the team claimed back-to-back CDL Championship titles, followed by a major victory at the Esports World Cup just weeks later.
The team revealed on social media that The Process will drop on November 11. OpTic Gaming's Roger shared that making the documentary was a huge undertaking, and the extra time spent on it has paid off.
"I genuinely appreciate the patience people have had for this project. I’ve sunk a countless amount of time into this movie and it getting the extra time made a difference," Roger said. He also mentioned that the documentary features a staggering 18TB of footage, all condensed into a 3-hour epic. “Excited for you all to watch,” he added.
OpTic Texas’ journey to the top was anything but smooth. The team won the CDL Championship in June in Canada, making history as the first team in Call of Duty esports to win back-to-back world titles. This victory came after a rough season, where OpTic Texas faced a historic 18-match losing streak without winning a single map.
