According to recent reports, Microsoft is planning to change its approach to releasing Call of Duty titles later this year. The company intends to make the next installment in the series available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. Speculation about Call of Duty's inclusion on Xbox Game Pass has been ongoing since Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard in October 2023.
If this report is accurate, Microsoft appears to be swiftly integrating its newly acquired IP into its popular streaming service. This move could boost subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass, following previous efforts such as offering early access to Bethesda's Starfield, which proved highly successful in 2023.
