Sean Smith, formerly Head of Strategy and Business Operations at Activision Blizzard Esports, was promoted to CEO of Tribe Gaming, a mobile-focused esports organization. Patrick Carney, the organization's founder, has transitioned to the role of Chief Strategy Officer.

Smith, who joined Tribe Gaming as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2023 worked with NBA teams such as the Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic, and spent over four years at Activision Blizzard's esports division.
Patrick Carney stated "Since joining Tribe late last year, Sean has proven to be an incredible leader and steward of the business. I’m thrilled to pass the CEO baton to him as the company operates at its highest level ever, and I’m fired up to continue working with our team to shape greatness within mobile gaming.”
