Slitherine Acquires Battlefront

Slitherine has acquired Battlefront, the developer of the Combat Mission series. The move aims to expand Slitherine’s wargaming portfolio while preserving Combat Mission’s legacy. The series, known for its tactical depth, has sold over 1 million copies and released more than 20 titles since its launch 25 years ago.
According to relelase, Slitherine plans to advance the Combat Mission franchise with new technology and gameplay innovations while maintaining its core features. The financial details of the deal were not revealed.
Iain McNeil, CEO of Slitherine stated “Their expertise and passion for wargaming are unparalleled, and together, we will continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in this genre. Our goal is to not only preserve the legacy of Combat Mission but to elevate it to new heights.”
