Behaviour Interactive, the studio behind Dead by Daylight, has acquired Red Hook Studios, known for its acclaimed Darkest Dungeon series. Red Hook will continue to operate independently under Behaviour. The financial details of the deal were not revealed.
Dead by Daylight has gained a strong following in the horror community for its unique gameplay and diverse roster of iconic horror characters. The studio has a history of licensing popular franchises, with recent additions like Chucky and Castlevania.

As Behaviour Interactive and the Dead by Daylight brand expand, they have also initiated side projects, including the recent spin-off The Casting of Frank Stone, developed by Supermassive Games and published by Behaviour.
In a statement, Rémi Racine, co-founder and CEO of Behaviour Interactive, expressed enthusiasm for welcoming Red Hook Studios, emphasizing that the acquisition aligns with their "ambitious goals" for the future as a publisher. He noted the shared vision and commonalities between the two studios.
