Battlestate Games has officially revealed the first numbered season of Escape from Tarkov: Arena, dubbed Tempus Campionum, set to launch this October. This new season follows the initial "Season 0," which served as a testing phase and introduced the game’s first battle pass. With Tempus Campionum, the real competition begins.
While details on the battle pass for Season 1 remain scarce, many fans are speculating whether it will remain free, like the rewards in Season 0, or carry a price tag. If it does come at a cost, players are eager to see what kind of content it will offer and how the community will respond to the potential change.
The Latin phrase Tempus Campionum translates to “Time of the Champions,” and so far, that’s the only hint players have on what the season will bring. Previous rewards in Season 0 included over 100 unique items such as tactical clothing sets, weapon skins, in-game currency, and randomized supply crates. These rewards were free to earn, though players had to grind extensively to unlock everything. Many of these items crossed over between Escape from Tarkov and Escape from Tarkov: Arena, suggesting that the two games will continue to share content.
