BLAST has confirmed that its second BLAST Premier Open Counter-Strike 2 tournament in 2026 will take place in Europe, marking another major addition to its expanding esports calendar.

The event is scheduled for August 24 to September 6, 2026, and will be split across two weeks. The opening week will unfold in Copenhagen, Denmark, while the second week will move to a yet-to-be-announced European arena. BLAST said that “more details” about the location will be revealed soon, sparking speculation within the community about possible host cities across Europe.

Featuring 16 teams, the BLAST Open Fall 2026 will offer a $400,000 (approximately £300,824) prize pool. Teams will qualify through a mix of Valve Regional Standings (VRS) invitations and open and closed qualifiers.

This event is part of BLAST’s broader 2026 roadmap, which includes six Counter-Strike 2 tournaments throughout the year. The first of these will take place in the Netherlands, with Rotterdam’s Ahoy Arena set to host the playoffs.

BLAST outlined its ambitions for 2026 and 2027 earlier this year, revealing plans to enhance the experience for both players and teams. The organiser intends to improve accommodation and hospitality standards while enabling teams to travel with larger support staff.

Having already hosted major Counter-Strike tournaments in cities like Lisbon and London during 2025, BLAST continues to strengthen its presence across Europe’s top esports destinations. Team Vitality and G2 Esports claimed titles at those events, and the upcoming European edition aims to build on that success.
