EA Sports FC 24 has been announced as the latest participant in the Esports World Cup, set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this summer. In an official announcement, EA Sports revealed that DreamHack events will serve as qualifiers for the tournament, with further information to be sahred by ESL FACEIT Group.

EA stated "The top finishing players at DreamHack, along with invited professional players, will qualify for the Esports World Cup this August. More details about the competitions will be available from ESL FACEIT Group soon. These events at DreamHack and the Esports World Cup will sit fully outside EA’s FC Pro ecosystem and will not have any bearing on the FC Pro World Championship taking place this summer or any FC Pro competitions next season. We look forward to sharing more about FC Pro in the coming weeks."
