A former Activision executive has filed a lawsuit in California, accusing the company of age discrimination and violating the state's whistleblower protection law. The 57-year-old ex-tech executive, who worked for Activision from 2014 until being laid off last August, alleges discriminatory practices. The lawsuit cites instances, including remarks attributed to CEO Bobby Kotick at a leadership conference, suggesting an issue with "too many old white guys" at Activision Blizzard. Bobby Kotick recently left Activision Blizzard.

According to court documents he is seeking damages to compensate for lost earnings, effects on career progression, reputational harm, emotional distress, wrongful termination, and associated legal expenses.
