Microsoft announced a new partnership with Inworld AI. According to release, Inworld AI will provide Xbox game development tools for generative AI characters and storylines. An AI character engine is designed for seamless integration into games, enabling the dynamic generation of stories, quests, and dialogue. These AI NPC's can deliver responses in distinctive voices and encompass intricate dialogue trees, offering personalized and ever-evolving storylines within a game.

Haiyan Zhang stated “This partnership will bring together: Inworld’s expertise in working with generative AI models for character development, Microsoft’s cutting-edge cloud-based AI solutions including Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Research’s technical insights into the future of play, and Team Xbox’s strengths in revolutionizing accessible and responsible creator tools for all developers.”
