According to recent reports by Reuters, Tencent has acquired two video game divisions from ByteDance after ByteDance withdrew from the gaming industry last year. One studio, based in Shenzhen, is developing an action game, while the other studio, located in East China, is working on an anime game.

ByteDance announced their intentions to pull out of gaming industry last year. The company was recently in talks of the sale of its gaming division.
