Sports Interactive has announced a delay for Football Manager 25, now set to release in March 2025. Initially scheduled for a September launch, the game has faced setbacks as the team requires more time to enhance its quality.
In a statement on X, Sports Interactive explained, “Following discussions with Sega, our licensors, and partners, we have agreed the best course of action is to delay the launch until March 2025... This additional time has not been sufficient to ensure the game quality and experience meet your expectations and our very high standards.”

The delay has sparked frustration among fans, with many expressing their displeasure in the comments. Some have suggested that the developers should abandon Football Manager 25 and shift their focus to Football Manager 26 instead, questioning the rationale behind continuing with the current installment.
Football Manager 2024 was a significant success for the company, but the latest delay has left fans feeling anxious as the football gaming landscape remains competitive, particularly with FIFA as a major contender. As the situation unfolds, the pressure on Sports Interactive to deliver a high-quality product continues to mount.
