MAD Lions KOI, part of OverActive Media, has announced a partnership with Pepsi. According to a post on X earlier today, Pepsi will serve as the official beverage sponsor for MAD Lions KOI, featuring its logo prominently on the team’s front jerseys throughout the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) season. The financial details and length of the agreement were not revealed.
OverActive Media, which recently acquired KOI, also owns Movistar Riders and holds an LEC franchise slot with MAD Lions KOI. Additionally, the Toronto-based organization manages the Toronto Ultra in the Call of Duty League. KOI, an esports club founded by Spanish influencer Ibai Llanos and former FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué.
Nikko Krättli, stated “Really glad to announce that food and beverage conglomerate PepsiCo has selected us to execute their influencer marketing strategy and position its flagship brands in Spain for the coming years. Winning this pitch is a significant achievement for us and comes with great responsibility.”
