Sentinels have emerged victorious in the Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 1 Americas playoffs, clinching the title after an intense 4-3 showdown against 100 Thieves in the Grand Finals.

The road to the championship was anything but smooth for Sentinels. After a group stage stumble, the team found their rhythm during the playoff bracket, eliminating top contenders such as ENVY and tekixd. Their momentum carried them through to the Upper Bracket Finals, where they edged out 100 Thieves in a nail-biting 3-2 series, sending their rivals into the Lower Bracket.

100 Thieves bounced back quickly, defeating ENVY, who had previously won The Shroud Gauntlet, earning themselves a rematch against Sentinels for the title. Despite pushing the series to the limit, 100 Thieves were unable to stop the surge from Sentinels, who secured the final map to win 4-3 and claim the championship.

The result also mirrored the outcome of the Season 1 Championships, where Sentinels had similarly overcome 100 Thieves in both the Upper Bracket Finals and Grand Finals, proving once again that history can indeed repeat itself.

With this victory, Sentinels, 100 Thieves, and ENVY have all secured their spots at the Mid-Season Finals, set to take place later this year in Hangzhou, China. The event will be held offline, bringing together the best teams from across the globe for a high-stakes clash.

Speaking after the match, Sentinels’ strategist Chassidy ‘aramori’ Kaye shared her excitement about the upcoming international tournament:

“I’m super excited for the Mid-Season Finals. I think we were looking forward to playing against Virtus.pro, but obviously they didn’t qualify, which is kind of disappointing," she said during the Grand Finals broadcast. “But we’ve scrimmed against Rad EU a lot, against Brr Brr Patapim, and we’ve also played against Gen.G. So it’s going to be really fun getting to compete against them in like a tournament setting and seeing how that goes.”
