This announcement comes just a day after Liquid secured a deal with America’s youngest chess Grandmaster and the third-highest rated player of all time, Fabiano Caruana.
Carlsen, widely regarded as one of the greatest chess players in history, is a five-time World Chess Champion, five-time World Rapid Chess Champion, eight-time World Blitz Chess Champion, and the current Chess World Cup Champion. He has held the No. 1 spot in the International Chess Federation (FIDE) world rankings since July 1, 2011.
