North American 100 Thieves has officially entered the competitive fighting game scene, announcing the signing of seasoned player Sean ‘Shine’ Simpson to its roster. The move marks a significant step in the organization’s ongoing expansion into new esports titles, as it strengthens its presence across multiple competitive fronts.
Shine will make his debut under the 100 Thieves banner at Combo Breaker 2025, one of the most prominent annual fighting game tournaments. He will primarily represent the organization in Street Fighter 6 competitions, including the high-profile Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later this year.

Sean "Shine" Simpson is a well-respected veteran in the fighting game community (FGC), with a career spanning more than a decade. Known for his technical skill, adaptability, and competitive consistency, Shine has competed in multiple top-tier titles including Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Guilty Gear. He is especially recognized for his performance in the Street Fighter series, where he’s earned a reputation as a fierce and intelligent competitor.
From 2018 to 2023, Shine represented Endemic Esports, his first major organizational home. During this time, he made a name for himself in national and international events, securing top placements and earning respect from both fans and peers.
Now, as he joins 100 Thieves, Shine becomes the organization's first official FGC player—signaling its commitment to investing in the fighting game space.
