Team Vitality has made one of the biggest moves of the VALORANT off-season, officially signing Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, one of the most decorated players in the game’s history.
Chronicle confirmed the news on X, writing, “This roster is insane, and I cannot wait to get started. From winning two international trophies to making four Grand Finals this year, it has been an amazing journey.”
The signing marks the end of Chronicle’s successful three-season run with FNATIC, where he helped the team secure several major victories. His achievements include first-place finishes at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo, VALORANT Masters Tokyo 2023, and VCT 2024 EMEA Stage 2.
However, 2025 proved a year of near misses for FNATIC. Despite consistent performances, the team finished second at every major S-Tier tournament, including VALORANT Masters Toronto, the Esports World Cup, and VALORANT Champions.
Chronicle’s move to Team Vitality reunites him with his former FNATIC teammate Nikkita “Derke” Sirmitev, creating one of the most formidable duos in EMEA VALORANT. The signing has generated excitement across the community, though some fans have criticized Vitality’s announcement as being insensitive toward FNATIC and its supporters.
One viewer commented, “Poaching FNATIC players doesn’t make you FNATIC.”
For Team Vitality, the addition of Chronicle represents the latest step in its ongoing effort to strengthen its roster. The organization has been rebuilding steadily during recent off-seasons, but results in 2025 have been mixed. Despite a strong start to the year as the top EMEA team, Vitality missed key appearances at Masters Toronto and Champions Paris.
Fans hope Chronicle’s arrival will be the missing piece that propels the team to international victories.
Team Vitality’s full roster now consists of:
Nikkita “Derke” Sirmitev
Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov
Kimmie “Kicks” Laasner
Blendi “KovaQ” Kovaci
Felipe “Less” de Loyola Basso
Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel
Stefan “Sayonara” Mitcu
