GameSquare announced that its stockholders have voted to approve the proposed merger with FaZe Clan. The company announced its intentions to acquire FaZe Clan last October. FaZe Clan was valued at $17m in October 2023. GameSquare is the parent company of Complexity Gaming and marketing agency Code Red. Following the news Richard "FaZe Banks" Bengtson was named asthe CEO of FaZe Clan and Thomas "FaZe Temperrr" Oliveira as the President of FaZe Clan.

FaZe Clan was having financial troubles last year. The organization's CEO was removed from his position by the board. The organization was issused a notice by NASDAQ several times due to extremely low stock price.
