The US Supreme Court has declined appeals from both Epic Games and Apple, upholding the original antitrust trial ruling from 2021. The court order, was a victory for Apple, as most of Epic's claims were denied. The only count upheld is related to Apple's anti-steering practices, requiring them to cease preventing developers from linking to direct payment options without a 30% fee. In the previous month, the jury concluded that Google is maintaining an unlawful monopoly concerning Android, specifically in mandating developers to utilize its Play store's payment system for all transactions, accompanied by a 30% fee.
