MLBB Bans Aero Esports

Malaysian organization Aero Esports has been hit with a lifetime ban from the MPL Malaysia league. The decision, announced on January 8, 2026, stems from unpaid salaries dating back to October 2025 and multiple contract breaches. Players went unpaid for months, and with the team owner ghosting the league entirely, MPL Malaysia pulled no punches. This isn't just a slap on the wrist—Aero's slot is now vacant, and the owner is blacklisted from ever running a team in the MLBB ecosystem again.

What Led to the Permanent Ban?
Following an official checks, the MPL Malaysia Committee confirmed Aero's failures under Penalty Index B: unresolved financial debts and contract violations. Despite repeated outreach, the owner was unresponsive, forcing the league's hand on the maximum penalty. “MPL Malaysia remains fully committed to ensuring the welfare of players is protected and to upholding the highest standards of professionalism,” the official MPL Malaysia’s announcement stated.
“The league enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of financial misconduct and will continue to take firm action to preserve the integrity of the competition.” To protect those stiffed, MPL is doling out Aero's withheld prize share—part of the $100,000 total pool—directly to players and staff based on verified arrears. All roster members are now unrestricted free agents, free to sign anywhere in MLBB. The league even urged them to pursue legal action for the rest.
Aero Esports: A Rollercoaster History in MPL Malaysia
Born in 2020 as Red Esports (rebranded to Aero in March 2025), the team clawed into MPL Malaysia via qualifiers. They've been a classic mid-pack fighter—consistent top-6 finishes, occasional giant-kills, but no deep playoff runs or titles. Total earnings: around $64,000 across tournaments. Aero specialized in high-tempo chaos, late surges, and upsets, but consistency eluded them. Their best results were fourth-place finishes on multiple occasions.
The Roster
Aero's most recent lineup had some local talent, a Filipino import, and vets. Head coach Tazy (one of few female coaches in MPL) led with analysts JIFDEGaming (ex-SRG.OG) and tactical coach Panda.
Core Roster: Jungler: Kusey (PH import, standout carry) Midlaner: Smooth (ex-Team Vamos, clutch player) EXP Laner: ZQEEF / Hazle Roamer: Sick Gold Laner: Panda / Kyym (versatile) Subs/rotations: Kyym, Hazle. These guys fought hard—Kusey's imports often sparked playoff hopes—but now they're shopping resumes. Early buzz on X highlights Kusey as a hot free agent.
