During BlizzCon, Blizzard unveiled its plans for the forthcoming tenth, eleventh, and twelfth expansions for the widely played MMORPG World of Warcraft. All three expansions will be part of an overarching narrative known as "World of Warcraft: The Worldsoul Saga." The initial expansion in this series is named "World of Warcraft: The War Within," and it is scheduled for release next year.

The new expansion will bring former talking knife Xal'atath, new zones like Azj-kahet, Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, and Hallowfall, a new treasure hunting adventure activity called Delves.

The remaining two expansions have fewer disclosed details, which is reasonable given their distant release. The eleventh expansion is named "World of Warcraft: Midnight" and is set to unfold in Azeroth's "Old World" within Quel'thalas. This expansion will revolve around the invasion of Void forces, their attempt to obliterate the Sunwell, and their pursuit to engulf the world in darkness. As for the third chapter of the Worldsoul Saga, World of Warcraft's twelfth expansion will be known as "World of Warcraft: The Last Titan."
