Atlanta FaZe, the esports franchise owned by FaZe Clan, has emerged victorious at the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) Major 2 in Allen, Texas.

Held at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center and hosted by fellow CDL franchise OpTic Texas, Atlanta FaZe dominated Vancouver Surge in the grand final to solidify their status as the top team in the world. Over the past four days, all 12 CDL teams competed in a double-elimination bracket, vying for CDL Points and a share of the $365,000 (£281,477) prize pool. As champions, Atlanta FaZe walks away with 100 CDL Points and $150,000 (£115,663).

Entering the event as the second seed, Atlanta FaZe began their run in the winner’s bracket, defeating Minnesota Rokkr, New York Cloud9, and Vancouver Surge to secure their spot in the Grand Final.

Vancouver Surge had previously triumphed over the Carolina Royal Ravens and Boston Breach, setting up a winner’s final showdown against Atlanta FaZe. The teams battled fiercely, with Atlanta FaZe emerging victorious in a series that went to the final map. The loss sent Vancouver into the elimination bracket, but they bounced back with a 3-1 win over Toronto Ultra to earn a rematch in the Grand Final.

While Major 1’s grand final was a nail-biting contest that went to game seven, Major 2 was much more straightforward for the defending Major champions. Atlanta FaZe delivered a dominant 4-0 sweep of Vancouver Surge, becoming the first team in nine years to win three consecutive tournaments.
